Project Description
Turning a Penthouse and Roof Access into a Fully Realized Amenity
This rooftop amenity design in NYC brings together the building’s penthouse and outdoor terrace into a cohesive indoor-outdoor experience designed for real tenant use.
Working in close collaboration with a landscape architect, we focused on organizing the interior program to align seamlessly with the exterior terrace design, allowing the overall amenity to feel intentional and fluid rather than divided. The interior includes a kitchen, conversation seating and lounge areas, and a conference room, all filled with natural light and designed to support both everyday use and hosted gatherings.
The outdoor terrace, designed in collaboration with the landscape architect, is structured with a mix of small-group seating and larger communal tables, giving tenants flexibility in how they use the space throughout the day.
Click here to see the renderings we did prior to construction to support decision-making early in the process, helping the client clearly visualize how the finished amenity would function and feel before construction began.
The result is a rooftop amenity that extends the workplace beyond the building envelope and makes full use of the site’s potential.
